Every artist who sees this post should do the following:
- Watch the video.
- Follow the instructions
I can’t stress you enough about how important these exercises are for your drawing hand. You don’t wanna get CTS of Tendonitis and similar stuff that will prevent you from making art or even hold a pencil.
I first saw this video… I dunno, a couple of years ago? But after seeing this it instantly became part of my daily routine. Having your wrist crap out on you because you haven’t taken care of yourself while drawing is agonizing and not fun.
Get to stretching, artist buddies.
I usually don’t reblog stuff when a post demands it of me, but I found this video to be very helpful.
I’ll start trying these and see if they help!
Oh wow, I just tried out these exercises there and my hand actually feels fantastic and limber. I absolutely have to remember these.
wow my tendons are really tight in my right hand holy shit, i’m gunna do these more often.
Oh geez I had some sharp pain in my right arm this helps.
Good stuff man x_x Them stretches felt goooood
THANK TUMBLR GOODNESS I NEEDED THIS THING
fuck yeah my right hand… lol I DRAW WITH MY LEFT OK this is for anyone who uses a MOUSE not just artists lol
It is not cis-sexism to have sexual preferences. It is okay to be attracted to one type of person and not others. “You’re just not my type” is not indicative of oppression and it is not deserving of derogatory comments like “Cis-scum.” An individual person’s sexuality does not need to be all-inclusive. Society needs to be all-inclusive. The laws, access to employment and amenities, the decent treatment and application of human rights for all need to be all-inclusive. A person’s sexuality and who they take to bed with them is a private decision, and so long as all persons involved in that decision are of appropriate age and consenting, then everybody else needs to butt the hell out.
It is both problematic and dangerous thinking to believe that a person’s sexuality needs to be all-inclusive in order to be acceptable.
I am neither a cissexual nor a heterosexual person. I have in the past suffered derision and persecution at the hands of people who did not understand, or who believed I was wrong or sick. It is wrong to judge anybody based on their race, sex, creed, gender or orientation. Not only was there no persecution here, but the sexualities of persecutors do not matter. Only the persecution does, and that is what we need to take issue with. The more we bring our genders and our sexualities into these conflicts by making them weapons against each other the more we feed into the idea that both of those things are somehow ‘a big deal’ that we all need to squabble over.
tl;dr Get out of other people’s pants and stop confusing sexism with just not being the right type for someone. Nobody is obliged to fuck you or anybody else, for any reason.
